Medium length hairstyle?

I currently have moderately long hair that sits about an inch below my underarms. It is a little bit frizzy and is neither straight, nor curly. It is basically wavy, but more like kinky (I can't wear it down without fixing it.)

I would love to get a much shorter haircut so it is easy to manage for the summer. However, I realized that a short cut can not be pulled up, and therefore may trap heat (making me overheated!)

Your best bet would be to go to a good salon, not Supercuts or anything like that, and have them give you some suggestions as to what would work with your hair texture. If your hair is wavy you can get some anti-frizz cream or stuff made for wavy/curly hair and put it on after you wash it and then just let it air dry. Blow drying is what makes hair like that frizz up. My hair is not curly (unless i scrunch it while drying it) but does have a lot of natural wave to it when i let it air dry. I use Sunsilk products and they work really good without being greasy or drying ';crunchy'; . I have also used some of the beach type hair stuff which gives hair texture and a tousled look.

The picture was cute and that length you would still be able to pull it up into a ponytail or twist it and pin it up to keep it off your neck when it was really hot. My hair is layered and to the top of my shoulders and i can still put it up in a ponytail or twist it into a bun type thing and wrap an elastic around it to hold it in place.Medium length hairstyle?

if you want to put it up, just do the best you can, and then use clips to put up the rest that hangs on your neck

Medium length hairstyle?

I want a cute hairstyle that I can just wear to school or whatever. My hair is medium length, just an inch or two past my shoulders. I wash it regularly and comb it often, so it's very soft and fine, and right now is light brown. I had an unfortunate experience with some blonde dye so I have to wait until July to dye it again or risk totally frying it. So come July it's going to be very blonde. I also haven't cut or even trimmed it in over a year, so it's long all the way around and straight, which works well for my over-the-ears style I have now. What I want is something cute and girly, preferably involving lots of clips and stuff.Medium length hairstyle?
Take a rats tail comb and draw a zigzag part and it creates a real pretty look, the hair will fall in different directions but stay neat.Medium length hairstyle?
I would get it cut into layers and buy a straightener. Go down your hair with the straightener and when you are about to the end of your hair go outwards. it only takes 10 minutes and your hair will look choppy and clips will be adorable!
i have about the same hair description as you (but im still brutnette) and i just got my hair cut a week ago. i got side bangs and got it cut a few inches with layers. i love it and its fun to play with and come up with different styles! hope this helps!

I really Like Katy Perry's new Look. its a bit shorter then medium length, but its totally cute. You can get it layered or thinned, maybe edgy or something. Side bangs? It depends on Your personality :)

i would suggest going to your hairstylist. pick out a few pictures of hair styles you like. they can tell you if the cut would look good on you. Go to your local sally beauty supply store. there they have magazines with all kinds of hair styles you can choise from. take then right with you to you hairdresser. The next time you get your hair trimmed you also need to have your hair layered (or you can just get it layered) and unless your hair is super straight you're going to have to use a flat iron (1 in or smaller). Before you flat iron it however you should apply a thermal setting product and completely blow dry it. If you don't dry it thoroughly first your hair won't stay straight. How about you get it layered to thin it out a bit, ask for light feathery layers and a sweeping side fringe would look cute.

You could also tie it up or curl it/scrunch it. That's better than poorly straightened hair.

Guy's Medium length hairstyle. NEED HELP!?

I tried to get my hair kinda like my avatar but i don't like the swoop of it plus it took about an hour to style. (wrong products probably) I am only 14 and my dad is against long hair but I can have it to my eyebrows and a sort of over the ear. I was thinking of a side part to rest over the opposite eye? I would try parting it on the side, hair parted in the middle looks weird to me. Even if you get pictures, its not you and it never looks the same on the pictures and your own head. Try it different ways, thats the only way to really see what is going to look like on your head.

I also have the same hair type and I must agree with Lindsay, wash and condition every day.

Might I suggest brushing your hair BEFORE you shower. For me this is effective because as soon as I pass a hair brush through my curls, they are completely destroyed.

I have thick hair, so I usually pull back the upper half of my hair with a clip to help the bottom strands curl properly. (While my hair is still wet.)

Definitely put some mousse to help get clean, bouncy curls. (A girl can dream.) Personally, I prefer the anti-frizz types.

i don't have a picture but i will tell you and if you get it cool if not sorry it's really cute.

1. you brush your hair back so there is no part.

2.you take your fingers or a comb (its not as parted with your fingers but its easier)

3.part your hair a cross like the equator.

4. leave the bottom part down

5. on the top part you brush back and put up

you can leave it like i pony tail or you can do a half way pony twist it twice then half way. I like to take some bangs out on one side but its up to you.

My mother is pretty large woman and has a around face. She looks really good when she cuts her hair short and gives herself a semi-spike hair style. Kind of like what Sharon Osbourne got. I myself gotten ';the cut'; and it's easy to maintain, style and to do the things what busy gals do. My bf wants me to have long hair but he knows that long hair is bad during those bed time moments due to all the brushing to the sides and the pulling and the yanking. ;) Long hair is beautiful but it gets in the way of everything.

Same problem. Easy to fix. Short or long, straight or curly. Keep a few pieces to hang around your face. Whether you wear it up or down, always leave those pieces dangling. They draw attention away from your face. Have any style you want, the bolder the better because they are looking at your awesome style and not how ';fat'; your face looks. NO SHORT BANGS! If you have them, let them grow, they tend to make your face look shorter, therefore ';fatter';

That to me means you are working against your hairs flow. Either enhance the waves with a curl boost or get a flat iron and straighten it. Either way would cover your ears. Good Luck!

I recommend a shoulder length hair cut straight off. Try putting some gel on you hands and coat them evenly with the gel. Then run your hands through your hair that you want to keep straight and then straighten them. Let the gel dry though before straightening because it could ruin your straightener. I have the same problem with wavy/curly hair. This usually works for me to reduce frizz after I blow dry my hair. I also recommend seeing someone that works at a salon and getting their opinion on your hair and they could also help pick out a product that would help you with hair troubles. Good luck! Since I straighten or curl my hair daily I decided I'm going to stop applying daily heat to it to maybe see if it will make an impact. So I'm seeing if there are any hairstyles (not cuts), that I can use to do my hair without needing to use heat. Ponytails and it just looking like I roll out of bed is getting old.. Please help! Try a messy bun, those always look cute. Even though they're 'messy', it's still a put-together look. Or, you could try twisting a few braids into your ponytail.

I have the best thing for you. If you have a curling iron try taking a few bits of hair and curling them near your bangs and then pull them back and tie them it will look gorgeous and make your hair super silky. Another great style is use rubber bands for braces and make little pony tails when its wet then put more rubber bands down the pony tail and when its dry u will have little waves. I know i went on and on about textures but the best idea is to just leave it down but wash it really well an just pull a little piece clipped back it will look cool and makes it look longer.

My hairdresser is amazing... She kept the length of my hair (slightly passed shoulder)... She kept the top layer of hair longer, and under layers to be shorter %26amp; thinned out.. she did a very precise cut with alot of layering....

So Ask for a precisely layered hair cut... but I would suggest a very patient and detail oriented hair stylist... a good hair stylist should spend at least 45-60 mins on a good hair hair cut.. I have it when some stylist (mostly at cheap salon) only spends 20 mins per cut...

Ok, you can do a high ponytail, a bun up high or low, a small braid on both sides of the head going to the back (HUGE TREND), half up half down, braids, or leave the braids in overnight and have wavy surf hair the next day!

Getting your hair layered is always a good idea, especially if your hairdresser can use a razor. If you get a straight across fringe, that might not work if your hair is really curly, unless you straighten it. A side fringe could work though.

Guy Medium Length Hairstyles?

My friend is asking me about a haircut. His hair is somewhat long maybe stopping at the middle of his neck. He doesn't want his hair short. It's layered right now and dark brown. He wants it somewhat choppy and unique. I'm guessing something like an artist would have.

If he's going to a hairdresser, he should tell them he wants a ';messy, bedhead look';. I'm just guessing here, but I hope I've got an accurate picture of what he wants. I would suggest he asks it to be ';razored';. If he's wanting the scene look, he may want it cut shorter in the back.

It sounds like he's got the cut he wants right now, though, maybe just not the right products. He should try a pomade, or sculpting wax, to piece his layers out. I'd recommend got2b texturizing pomade. Garnier has a ';surfer's hair'; texturizing spray which sounds good too, but I've never tried it. I'd love to use BedHead products, damn do they look sexy, but they're more expensive ($20-30 an item, versus $5-6 for the others). Oh, and if his hair isn't naturally straight, he'll probably want to use a straightening iron.

Those are all shorter than his hair but still pretty long. Just tell him to take one of those pictures to his stylist and he/she will cut them that way. Also, most of those styles are straight, fyi, so if his hair is curly or wavy it will look different.

I got my haircut in China, it's awesome. The stylist cut my hair into a bunch of layers and flips out, naturally. I think that any hair salon will do [BUT NEVER EVER EVER EVER SUPERCUTS] as long as you tell them what you want. I personally like pin straight hair with a some layers [thinner at the bottom] and/or flipped out hair with some layers. Hope that helped ^_-

1. Part your hair down the right.

2. Put your hair behind your ears.

3. Grasp it with your hand, and gently bring up to the middle of your head.

4. Secure with bobby pins.

3. Add stretchy headbands to both ponytails to add a sporty yet preppy look.

~Half-Up

1. To make a Pollyanna or an Up-Down Pony, first you brush all hair back (no crease seen).

2. Then you take half of your hair and put into a high or low pony (your choice).

3. You then leave the rest of your hair down. People will love it!

1. First if you have bangs(you don't even have to have bangs) grab a small handful of your hair.

2. Then you make a little triangle and then you clip it on the skinny part of the triangle and leave the rest down.

3. Make sure that you don't let the hair out of the clip so hairspray it if you would like.
